Doctor's NeuroPsychiatric Hospital, a member of the NeuroPsychiatric Hospital family, is looking for a Director of Nursing (RN) to serve our patients and hospital leadership team.  The Director of Nursing (RN) will have oversight of the hospital's nursing department and day-to-day oversight of program policies, procedures, and guidelines. The Director of Nursing, under the direction of the CEO, responsibilities include: 

  • Oversees the nursing staff and the processes of the units.
  • Responsible for creating, developing, and implementing the strategic plan for areas of responsibility, consistent with the organization’s strategic plan.
  • Ensures policies and procedures are reviewed regularly and implemented effectively throughout areas of responsibility in accordance with the organization’s policy.
  • Takes an important role during all regulatory surveys and ensures regulatory compliance.
  • Actively participates in PI committee meetings and reports data.
  • Plan, organize, and control all aspects of risk management activities. Ensure a safe environment for the protection of patients, clients, employees, and visitors to the facility in such a manner as to comply with laws, regulations, and the standards of the accrediting agency.
  • Responsible for the planning, developing, implementing and continuous improvement of nursing services to maintain standards of patient care in compliance with the organization's policies and procedures and State Licensing and Joint Commission requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring staffing is adequate for areas of responsibility in order to provide quality care and patient safety.

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or a Bachelor's of Health Administration from an accredited college or university required OR Associates degree with at least 3 years of leadership experience required. Master of Science in Nursing or a Master's of Health Administration preferred.
  • Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in acute psychiatric, mental health, medical-surgical, or emergency department settings required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing management or leadership experience required.
  • Previous experience in addiction or psychiatric care highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission, State, and CMS requirements
