Are you passionate about food service and looking to make a difference? Join our dynamic team and play a vital role in supporting meal preparation and kitchen operations at both Alum Creek and another facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a lead cook in the absence of the Main Cook, including opening the kitchen, turning on equipment, and overseeing meal preparation.
  • Assist in preparing and serving meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, following established menus and production sheets.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and management of all leftovers.
  • Fill in for NS Utility Tech roles and provide comprehensive food service support.
  • Accurately chart cooked foods for Engagement Center (EC) meals and complete daily checklists and task schedules.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization by cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, and serving areas.
  • Set up and maintain steam tables for each meal service.
  • Monitor and accurately record temperatures of hot and cold items to ensure food safety.
  • Perform various support tasks including dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, replenishing condiments and utensils, and trash disposal.
  • Check in stock deliveries on off-days and help monitor ovens and kettles alongside the Main Cook.
