Job Description: As a Closer/Funder at Right Start Mortgage, you will play a critical role in the final stages of the mortgage process, ensuring that all necessary documentation is accurate and complete for loan closing. You will collaborate closely with loan officers, processors, underwriters, and other stakeholders to facilitate a smooth and timely closing process.

Responsibilities:

Closing Coordination:

  • Coordinate with internal teams, including loan officers, processors, and underwriters, to gather necessary documentation for loan closing.
  • Work closely with title companies, settlement agents, and other stakeholders to facilitate a smooth closing process.

Document Preparation:

  • Prepare and review closing documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies.
  • Verify all necessary signatures, dates, and supporting information.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay informed about and ensure adherence to industry regulations related to mortgage loan closing.
  • Collaborate with the compliance team to address any regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments.

Quality Assurance:

  • Implement quality control measures to review and verify the accuracy of loan closing documents.
  • Conduct thorough audits to identify and rectify any discrepancies before finalization.

Communication and Customer Service:

  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing clear communication throughout the closing process.
  • Address client inquiries and concerns, ensuring a positive and professional customer experience.

Post-Closing Activities:

  • Coordinate the submission of closed loan files to post-closing and secondary market investors.
  • Ensure timely delivery of necessary documents to the appropriate parties.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in mortgage lending is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Mortgage Loan Closer or in a related role.
  • In-depth knowledge of mortgage loan closing procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of Encompass software.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with mortgage software and relevant tools.
