At Barnhart, we don't just lift heavy loads - we solve complex challenges across industries. As a Crane Operator, you'll play a key role in high-impact projects while building a long-term career with a national industry leader.
What You'll Do
This role offers a mix of consistent local work with opportunities to gain experience across multiple pieces of equipment (AT, hydraulic cranes, and more). In this role, you will:
  • Operate cranes ranging from boom trucks to 600-ton equipment
  • Perform daily lifting operations, primarily running cranes
  • Support crane assembly, rigging, and heavy haul projects
  • Work across plants, wind farms, and local taxi jobs
  • Assist with transport operations including trucks, trailers, and specialized equipment
  • Help ensure safe lifting through load control and communication with rigging crews

What You Bring
Required:
  • CDL Class A
  • NCCCO certification(s)
  • Strong commitment to safety and communication on job sites

Preferred:
  • Experience operating AT, hydraulic, or boom truck cranes
  • Experience in rigging or heavy haul operations
  • TWIC card

Additional Expectations:
  • Ability to work day/night shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for field work

Work Environment
  • Monday-Friday with 40+ hours per week, with potential for overtime
  • Primarily local work, with project-based variability
  • Outdoor, active job sites across multiple industries
