Job description

SUMMARY
Employee is responsible for inspecting, racking, and unracking parts that will be galvanized.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learns and understands part numbers applicable to the department.
  • Puts parts on racks to be sent to be galvanized.
  • Takes parts off of racks that have been galvanized. 
  • Inspects parts and looks for deficiencies.
  • Accurately counts parts and reports to Foreman as directed. 
  • Transfers to other job tasks in department as needed.
  • Must be able to maintain average production rate. 
  • Communicates with department Supervisor, workleader and co-workers.
  • Required to clock in/out electronically utilizing IQMS. 
  • Required to task in/out electronically into service code. 
  • Attends and participates in department employee meetings, safety meetings, and general employee meetings as directed.
  • Receives cross-training in other positions as required.
  • Performs all duties in a proper and safe manner while complying with Hughes Brothers and OSHA safety standards. 
  • Required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
