The Rig Up Driver will perform a variety of routine and complex transportation work in driving and coordinating transportation plans.

  • Participate in pre-trip preparations of vehicle
  • Ensure proper equipment is loaded on vehicle prior to leaving the yard
  • Fill out Log Book
  • Coordinate with dispatch office for job assignments, maps, special instructions, etc...
  • Conduct JSA before entering job site and plan entry route
  • Prepare invoice tickets for any damaged equipment
  • Complete Job Safety Analysis reports, logs, way bills, vehicle inspection, fuel reports, expense reports
  • Employees in this position are considered confidential, maintaining the utmost confidentiality in dealing with business information
  • Dispatch, oversee and direct swamper
  • General training for swampers


  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather
  • Must be able to be on 24 hour call on scheduled days

Requirements

  • Must be able to pass a valid pre-employment drug test
  • Must have general knowledge of oilfield equipment
  • Must have a driving record free of careless driving/accident in the past 3 years
  • The employee will be asked to regularly carry 70 lbs
  • Must be able to follow directions and be aware of all safety policies
  • Must be willing to learn & abide by applicable safety laws/rules
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and establish priorities
  • Must have the ability to read, write and speak English effectively
  • Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, sit, talk, and listen. The employee is required to use hands to handle, operate or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and CDL Class A (Hazmat Endorsement is preferred)
  • Must be able to drive and operate a water truck

M&R Trucking takes safety seriously. All employees are required to work in a safe manner in compliance with our Safety Manual. Employees do not have to have prior training but will be asked to complete some of the required training prior to being on the job site. The training required can vary depending on the specific job. Types of training include( but are not limited to):

  • New Hire Orientation
  • H2S Training
  • Fall Protection Training
  • CPR/First Aid/BBP (Must be completed within 90 days of Hire)
  • OSHA Compliance Training (Must be completed within 90 days of Hire)
  • Defensive Driving
  • Must complete any other required training within 90 days of Hire
