Job description

This is a year-round, full-time career opportunity with benefits in the Michigan's Adventure Maintenance Department.

The ideal candidate will be a team orientated Construction and Maintenance Electrician with experience in a diverse environment. The successful candidate will have proven skills troubleshooting and will have the ability to problem solve and follow the guidelines of a detailed preventative maintenance program.

A "hands-on" individual who is responsible for the maintenance and installation of the electrical needs across the theme park property.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and execute daily completion of preventative maintenance as outlined
  • Organize and maintain proper documentation
  • Report issues to Area Manager and Manager as required
  • Assist with identification of potential problems and suggest modifications, upgrades and improvements to Foreperson on a timely basis
  • Oversee and execute major overhauls, modifications and alterations
  • Ensure the safe operation of each work area and each work project.
  • Assist with general cleaning, inspection and reassembling equipment as needed
  • Assist and provide guidance to seasonal associates as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience as a licensed technician in a diverse environment or an apprentice with prior experience in a Rides environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Valid Michigan driver's license
  • Preferred Experience with Rockwell software, such as RS500, RS5000, Studio 5000
  • Preferred Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC controllers such as Control Logix and SLC500
  • Ability to work from manuals and blueprints is essential
  • Ability to work shifts weekends and holidays as required
  • Ownership of tools and safety boots
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
  • Required to meet the physical demands of the job including weights of up to 50 lbs, heights of 150 feet, frequent standing, walking, twisting, reaching, bending, crawling and ability to work with ladders
