Job description

Job Summary

Job Title: Plastic Surgeon

Work Site: Richmond Hospital

Status: Permanent Full-Time

Start Date: Januaryย 1,ย 2027

Compensation Type: Fee-for-Service (FFS)

Come work as a Plastic Surgeon with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!

Vancouver Coastal Health โ€“ Richmond seeks a community plastic surgeon with fellowship training and a strong interest in reconstructive and traumaโ€‘related plastic surgery to join an established group practice. Additional subspecialty interests (e.g., hand surgery, microsurgery, or breast reconstruction) would be considered an asset but are not a requirement. Applicants must be FRCSC certified in Plastic Surgery and eligible for licensure in British Columbia. The successful applicant will participate in a 1:6 onโ€‘call rota and provide plastic surgery coverage at a community hospital level, including consultation and operative management of soft tissue injuries, complex wounds, and reconstructive needs arising from trauma (excluding primary orthopaedic fracture management). The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the management of complex soft tissue injuries and reconstructive cases, working collaboratively with other surgical services. The elective practice will primarily consist of reconstructive plastic surgery appropriate to a community hospital setting. Richmond Hospital is affiliated with the University of British Columbia, and medical student and resident teaching is encouraged.   • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) โ€“ Mandatory
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) โ€“ Mandatory
