Job Summary:
This position will be a key player in the support of the RFID Program across HUP leading to positive results such as efficiency in operations and cutting costs of lost equipment. It is essential that the RFID Coordinator understands and partners closely with stakeholders to ensure resources are fully leveraged by the organization. A successful RFID Coordinator will be able to manage RFID technology across multiple departments and balance a consistent flow of new distribution projects. Expected to maintain a high degree of performance with minimal system downtime, coordinate continued implementation, provide training and education, troubleshooting and share best practices. This position will also be responsible for ongoing maintenance to include changing batteries, replacing tags, lost tag maintenance, activation, database maintenance and registration. Expected to perform other duties assigned.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Provides entity support for the analysis, planning, development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of operational information systems, processes, and structures to support RFID operations in conjunction with the Materials Management Team, Information Services, and other stakeholders
  • Ensuring system integrity of the RFID application by creating and monitoring workflow design
  • Monitor RFID system alarms and address urgent Operational needs accordingly
  • Monitor and maintain RFID functions and Asset Management
  • Act as liaison between the Support Operations, Information Services, Clinical Engineering, Supply Chain Nursing, and other users.
  • Coordinate and manage onsite maintenance of materials with Clinical Engineering and Information Systems and verify location accuracy
  • Assist in the education, training, and be a resource for Operational workflows to departments, users, and their teams.
  • Advocate for development to enhance RFID offerings and oversee the planning and execution of that work
Education or Equivalent Experience:
  • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science in Business, Engineering or Computer Science (Preferred)
  • 3+ years of related experience preferably in Health Care IT (Required)
