Amentum is seeking a Senior RF Engineer to support our U.S. Navy customers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide analysis and evaluate design changes to high power microwave, transmitter-receiver module, antenna, RF-digital hybrid circuit, and related hardware
  • Perform analysis and market research to recommend components to resolve obsolescence issues
  • Develop M&S and T&E to perform radio frequency signal characterization
  • Develop M&S and T&E to perform antenna characterization and antenna isolation characterization
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and engineering investigation to resolve problems exhibited in RF systems
  • Prepare and/or review technical documentation including proposals, whitepapers, reports and other types of documentation
  • Provide technical guidance to senior leadership, program management and engineers

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or other STEM discipline from an accredited university and a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance. Please note US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Experience leading engineering projects and tasking of team members
  • Experience in development, integration and testing of RF systems
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex HW/SW integration problems Experience with lab test equipment such as function generator, oscilloscope, multi-meter, spectrum analyzers, etc
  • **REAL ID is required for initial access to customer site**

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. degree plus a minimum of 12 years relevant experience
  • Experience with M&S and data analysis to analyze RF systems
  • Active Security Clearance
