Job description

New Tech Global Staffing is currently seeking a Packer with RF Scanner Experience for a client located in [East Houston,TX] to join our team. This is a contract to hire opportunity.

Pay: $18.00 Hourly

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week. Overtime may be required based on business needs.

Summary: Responsible for accurately picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment while utilizing RF scanners to maintain inventory accuracy and support warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong attention to detail, productivity, and safety awareness.

Responsibilities
Utilize RF scanners to pick, verify, and process orders accurately
Pack products securely and efficiently according to company standards
Inspect merchandise for damage, defects, or discrepancies before shipment
Label, sort, and stage packages for shipping and distribution
Maintain accurate inventory records through scanning and warehouse management systems
Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing inventory in designated warehouse locations
Perform cycle counts and report inventory discrepancies to supervisors
Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies
Meet daily productivity and accuracy goals
Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
Assist with loading and unloading shipments as needed
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to ensure timely order fulfillment
Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as authorized
Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Previous warehouse, packing, or order fulfillment experience required
Experience using RF scanners required
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
Basic computer skills preferred
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
Forklift experience is a plus but not required
