Machine Technician / Operator & Assistants
Shift Options & Pay
  • 1st Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday, $20-$26/hour (based on experience)
  • 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Monday-Friday, $20-$26/hour + $2 shift premium

Position Summary
We are seeking skilled Machine Technician/Operator and assistants to support manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment runs efficiently and produces high-quality products. This role reports directly to the Production Supervisor and plays a critical part in maintaining safety, productivity, and quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience operating manufacturing equipment, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate paper coating and/or rewinder machinery
  • Monitor machine performance and inspect product quality
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe production areas
  • Collaborate with maintenance to improve equipment reliability
  • Communicate effectively with team members and leadership
  • Handle and stage paper rolls using computerized systems
  • Load and unload materials safely
  • Operate forklifts as needed
  • Perform routine equipment inspections
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Previous machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
  • Experience with HMI software (preferred)
  • Mechanical troubleshooting experience (preferred)
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment (hot in summer and comfortable in cooler weather)
  • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. repeatedly without assistance
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and twist regularly
  • Mathematically inclined, know how to convert fractions and measurements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Team leadership experience (5+ years preferred)
  • Flexibility to work day or night shift
