To ensure a safe, supervised YMCA programming for children or adults in the YMCA program for Gymnasium Space and Wellness Center
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Ensure a safe and fun setting.
2. Exhibit genuine concern and care of children while entrusted in Gym
3. Respond to emergency situations.
4. Develop and facilitate children's activities that revolve around the four core values-caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
5. Clean and put away equipment prior to end of programming.
6. Enforce and adhere to gym guidelines and schedules.
7. Maintain current Infant/Child CPR and first aid certifications.
8. Attend staff meetings as scheduled.
9. Initiate games and activities during shift. Have planned activities ready.
10. Perform Gymnasium clean-up/set-up duties.
11. Notify supervisor of shortage of supplies, repairs needed to equipment or furniture
12. Answers general fitness questions for members and directs concerns to the appropriate staff member.
13. Assists members on the proper use of exercise equipment.
