Job Summary:

The MEP BIM Coordinator position includes Revit project setup, model maintenance, project deliverable preparation, and modeling of plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical systems in a dynamic building model.

Responsibilities:

  • Setup and maintain project Revit models (setup levels, views, sheets, etc.) for all disciplines and ensure Salas O'Brien standards are adhered to according to the project BIM execution plan.
  • Manage weekly model sharing; download/upload models, apply updates.
  • Produce, plot and collate construction drawing sets for review and collaboration.
  • Work closely with project team members to provide feedback on updated model changes.
  • Maintain a collaborative environment between designers, engineers, and project managers and provide technical support to team members.
  • Work with Designers and Engineers to complete construction drawings including modeling plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical systems using Revit
  • Lead model clash detection meetings to assist team members in solving conflicts.
  • Participate in BIM coordination meetings with clients, architects and other consultants.
  • Create and modify Revit content/families for use in Salas O'Brien Revit models and assist in the maintenance of Salas O'Brien Revit templates.
  • Assist with Revit system training for employees.
  • Complete additional tasks as requested in Revit.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Technical School, Community College, or Associates Degree program in Revit and AutoCAD or two years Revit and AutoCAD experience
  • Previous experience with Revit MEP 2023 or newer preferred
  • Understanding of MEP systems and construction is preferred
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting
  • Commitment to excellence
  • Ability to takes initiative and follow through on tasks
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Complex problem-solving skills

Compensation & Benefits:

The expected base salary range for this role is $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
