Some of your responsibilities include:

  • Mechanical engineering students will be assisting with design and layout of ductwork and related mechanical equipment such as motors, fans and pumps for new and existing buildings (mechanical) 
  • Electrical engineering students will execute electrical designs in accordance with the Electrical Department’s Procedures and Standards and specific client standards where applicable. (electrical)
  • Fire Protection students will assist with layout and design of Fire Suppression and Fire Alarm Systems utilizing AutoCAD and REVIT. (fire protection)
  • Working with Engineers on commercial, government, healthcare, and scientific buildings
  • Will utilize Revit for 3D designs and Navisworks to check interferences
  • May perform mathematical calculations and assist with equipment research and specifications
  • May visit client sites and attend walk-throughs, punch lists or meeting with architects, owners, and subcontractors
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Skill requirements:

  • Strong analytical ability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of LEED and sustainable practices helpful
  • Advanced knowledge of Revit given priority
  • Should be going into Junior or Senior year of University/College
