Job description

Description
The Opportunity
Alpha Inc. is seeking a Chief Revenue Officer with grit, clarity, and a fearless growth mindset-and deep experience driving revenue within the construction industry.
This is not a role for someone who leads from a distance. We are looking for a hands-on executive who understands the realities of construction, knows how work is won in Hawai'i's market, and can connect business development strategy to estimating, operations, project execution, and long-term client partnerships.
This role owns the full revenue lifecycle across Alpha's business: lead generation, business development, sales strategy, estimating alignment, marketing direction, client experience, and long-term revenue performance. You will turn market opportunity into executable strategy, relationships into repeat business, and operational alignment into profitable growth.
The right leader will bring a proven track record of growing revenue in heavy civil construction, infrastructure, concrete, drilling, renewable energy, or closely related construction environments. They will understand how to pursue the right work, protect margin, and help scale a Hawai'i-based construction company with discipline and vision.
If you thrive in fast-moving environments, have the courage to pursue ambitious goals, and know how to turn construction market opportunity into measurable results, you will feel at home here.
About Alpha Inc.
Alpha Inc. is a Hawai'i-built, Hawai'i-proud company leading in heavy civil construction, water well drilling, renewable energy, and concrete services. The projects we build today shape the future of island communities for generations-and we do not take that lightly.
We live and lead through three core values:
  • Lead with Heart - Empathy, humility, and genuine care for people and community.
  • Strength in Unity - We win together. No silos. No ego. Just one Alpha.
  • Alpha Mentality - Grit, accountability, and the relentless pursuit of excellence in everything we do.

As CRO, you are not just generating revenue-you are helping drive the next chapter of Alpha's growth while reinforcing the values that define how we lead and build.
What You Will Do
Revenue Strategy & Enterprise Leadership
  • Architect and lead Alpha's end-to-end revenue strategy across heavy civil construction, concrete, water well drilling, and renewable energy business lines.
  • Align business development, sales, estimating, marketing, and operations into a unified growth engine rooted in construction market realities.
  • Identify and pursue strategic opportunities that fit Alpha's capabilities, capacity, and long-term goals.
  • Translate client needs, market intelligence, and competitive insights into actionable go-to-market plans.
  • Set ambitious revenue and margin targets-and lead the organization to achieve them.
Construction-Focused Sales & Business Development
  • Build and strengthen a high-performance business development function designed for the construction industry.
  • Lead the full opportunity pipeline from relationship development and lead generation through qualification, preconstruction collaboration, bid strategy, award, and account expansion.
  • Partner closely with Estimating and Operations to ensure pursuit strategies are aligned with project feasibility, pricing discipline, execution readiness, and profitability.
  • Help drive pursuit decisions that reflect risk, margin, resource availability, and strategic value.
  • Shape marketing direction to strengthen Alpha's market position, client trust, and brand presence across Hawai'i.
Client Success, Contracts & Profitability
  • Deepen relationships with owners, developers, general contractors, public agencies, and strategic partners.
  • Lead high-level contract strategy and negotiations with a strong understanding of construction risk, commercial terms, and margin protection.
  • Drive client satisfaction, repeat business, and long-term account growth through value creation and trusted partnership.
  • Monitor gross margin, pricing strategy, and revenue performance, and identify levers to improve profitability across business lines.
Team Leadership & Culture
  • Build and lead cross-functional teams that operate with urgency, accountability, and alignment.
  • Establish KPIs, operating rhythms, and performance systems across revenue-related functions.
  • Foster collaboration between business development, estimating, operations, and executive leadership.
  • Champion a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and shared success consistent with Alpha's core values.

What You Bring
Experience
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in revenue, business development, sales, or growth strategy within the construction industry.
  • 5+ years in a senior executive or enterprise leadership role with direct responsibility for revenue growth in heavy civil construction, infrastructure, concrete, drilling, renewable energy, or a closely related construction sector.
  • Proven success leading revenue strategy and business development efforts for a construction company, contractor, or infrastructure-related organization.
  • Strong understanding of how construction work is developed, pursued, estimated, negotiated, awarded, and successfully handed off to operations.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering closely with Estimating, Operations, and Executive Leadership to drive profitable growth.
  • Track record of winning and growing business in complex, competitive, relationship-driven markets.
  • Experience in Hawai'i, island markets, or other logistically complex construction environments is strongly preferred.
Skills & Leadership Qualities
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to build credibility across clients, field leaders, project teams, and executive stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of construction revenue drivers, pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and margin protection.
  • Strategic, analytical, and operationally grounded; able to connect top-line growth with execution realities.
  • Skilled at building systems, teams, and accountability in dynamic, evolving environments.
  • A decisive leader who embodies Lead with Heart, Strength in Unity, and Alpha Mentality.

Why Alpha?
Because this is not a maintenance job-it is a legacy-building role.
You will help shape how Alpha grows, which clients we serve, what work we pursue, and how we scale with discipline across Hawai'i. You will work closely with the President and executive team to guide the company into its next era-grounded in courage, community, operational alignment, and excellence in execution.
This is an opportunity for a construction-minded growth leader to make a lasting impact on a company building critical infrastructure and serving island communities.
If you are ready to lead bold growth, strengthen client partnerships, and bring construction-savvy revenue leadership to a values-driven company, Alpha Inc. wants to meet you.
