Job description

The Gig:
The Director of Revenue Analytics is the "Architect" of our commercial technology and data science engine. This role is primarily responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing support of our Revenue Management Systems (RMS). You apply advanced analytics and data science techniques to ensure the accuracy and maximization of all revenue streams, ensuring our systems are optimized to provide the highest level of predictive and prescriptive guidance to the Revenue Management and Strategy teams.
This gig is based at VVHQ - our swanky Virgin Voyages Head Office in Plantation, FL where we follow a hybrid work environment. We can't wait to 'sea' you in person during our Collaboration Days, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, while you enjoy Mondays and Fridays' as remote days.
What You'll Be Up To:
  • RMS Implementation & Support: Lead the end-to-end development and implementation of industry-leading Revenue Management Systems. Serve as the primary technical lead for system configuration, data integration, and ongoing performance tuning.
  • System Optimization: Continuously monitor and audit RMS outputs to ensure forecasting accuracy and optimal pricing recommendations; partner with vendors and internal IT to troubleshoot and enhance system capabilities.
  • Analytical Modeling: Own the design, development, and deployment of bespoke analytical models that extend beyond out-of-the-box RMS capabilities, carrying each model through its full lifecycle (conception, statistical validation, systems integration, and production deployment). Representative work spans demand and repeat-purchase forecasting, capacity optimization and overbooking logic, and promotional effectiveness analysis, with each model operationalized into the revenue ecosystem rather than left as one-off analysis.
  • Predictive Modeling (AI/ML): Apply machine learning techniques to build and productionize automated recommendation engines (pricing and forecasting automation) that run continuously inside the RMS and broader revenue ecosystem.
  • Marketing Analytics: Create innovative optimization strategies that consider marketing channel performance, investment, and capacity constraints in alignment with system outputs.
  • Data Visualization: Own the stack of Tableau/Power BI dashboards that provide a single source of truth for the entire commercial organization, ensuring system data is translated into actionable insights.

Superpowers Required:
  • Experience: 10+ years of combined experience with advanced analytics development and Revenue Management System (RMS) implementation.
  • Communication & Presence: Excellent executive presence with the ability to bridge the gap between complex technical data science and commercial business needs; strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical roadmaps to senior leadership.
  • Skills: Hands-on experience with Python, R, and SQL, with advanced data visualization in Tableau (primary; Power BI a plus). Deep expertise in RMS logic and passenger service system (PSS) integrations.

What Matters to Us:
At Virgin, your personality matters as much as how good you are at what you do. We want you to bring it to our hangout spot and help make the place even better. So, we won't be surprised to hear that when people talk about you they say you are clever, on top of it, able to think ahead, intuitive, passionate and someone people respect and enjoy working with because you make things happen.
