Job description

Location: SpringHill Suites South Bend, South Bend, IN (on-site)

JSK Hospitality is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to support the overall success of our SpringHill Suites South Bend. In this role you’ll partner with the General Manager to drive guest satisfaction, lead the team, protect the property’s financial performance, and uphold Marriott brand standards. This is a hands‑on leadership position for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced hotel environment and wants to grow within a multi-property company.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of the hotel
  • Lead and coach department heads and front-line associates to deliver excellent guest service
  • Monitor and improve guest satisfaction scores and online reviews
  • Support financial performance through revenue management, cost control, and budgeting
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety protocols, and company policies
  • Oversee scheduling, training, and performance management for key departments
  • Handle escalated guest issues and represent the hotel professionally
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and developing talent
  • Participate in property inspections, quality audits, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Step in as acting General Manager when needed
Requirements Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 2–3 years of hotel leadership experience (supervisor, department head, or AGM level)
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations, guest service, and financial management
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25–30 lbs occasionally
Preferred
  • Experience with Marriott brand standards and systems
  • Previous Assistant General Manager or strong department head experience in a select-service or full-service hotel
  • Profit & loss responsibility experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
