Position Summary

The Revenue Integrity Consultant plays a key role in supporting accurate charging, compliant billing, and complete reimbursement for our clients. This leader partners closely with clinical, operational, coding, and financial teams to improve charge capture workflows, reduce revenue leakage, and strengthen the connection between clinical care, documentation, and billing outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead revenue integrity reviews, charge capture assessments, and workflow evaluations across hospital and professional services.
  • Conduct compliance audits and risk assessments for client revenue cycle operations.
  • Advise clients on regulatory requirements (CMS, HIPAA, payer rules) and support implementation of best practices.
  • Develop and implement compliance frameworks and standardized methodologies tailored to client needs.
  • Identify and mitigate revenue leakage through process review, reconciliation activities, and charge capture validation.
  • Analyze KPI's, trends, and data insights to support revenue optimization and operational decision-making.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, actionable findings, summaries, and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with client leadership to design new workflows, processes, and governance structures that strengthen integrity and performance.
  • Create and deliver training programs for client staff on compliance, charge capture, and revenue integrity practices.
  • Support the development and refinement of J2's revenue integrity tools, processes, and service offerings.
  • Participate in client meetings, partnership building conversations, and project delivery activities.
  • Work cross-functionally with coding, CDI, billing, and clinical teams to resolve discrepancies and improvement documentation and charge accuracy.
  • Assist with operational improvements that enhance compliance, efficiency, and financial performance.
  • Other duties as assigned. This role requires flexibility, initiative, accountability, and a willingness to step into new opportunities You won't do this alone โ€“ our team supports one another, adapts together, and embraces the work of building something special.
