Job description

We are seeking a critical thinking, detail-oriented Senior Revenue Assurance Analyst to join our Revenue Assurance Team. This role is responsible for key aspects of the monthly close process, analyzing revenue and revenue related accounts, and preparing reporting and analysis to support business decisions. You will work closely with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and to help drive revenue growth strategies.

Your impact:

Revenue Analysis

  • Analyze historical revenue data to identify trends, variances, and key performance drivers across direct and indirect revenue streams to allow for determining monthly revenue accruals.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on core revenue metrics and KPIs to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to understand the underlying factors influencing revenue performance and identify actionable insights.
  • Special projects as needed.

Accounting and Reporting

  • Support the month-end and quarter-end close process by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, analysis and reports for revenue in compliance with ASC 606.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive revenue reports and dashboards for senior management and executive stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly reporting for tracking billing and collections for direct deals.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all revenue-related information.
  • Own regular reporting on the takeback/dispute process, including monitoring and maintaining reserve figures.

Data Management:

  • Collect, validate, and manage revenue data from various sources.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reports and analyses.
  • Maintain and update revenue databases and financial models.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to revenue recognition (ASC 606).
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to revenue reporting and forecasting.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Work closely with finance, sales, marketing, and operations teams to gather insights and data.
  • Support cross-functional projects aimed at streamlining processes, improving internal controls and driving revenue growth.
  • Identify and raise high priority issues to Executive team to effectively troubleshoot.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Continuously evaluate and enhance revenue analysis processes and reporting methodologies, driving greater accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging tools and best practices in revenue analysis.
  • Identify and action on process improvements across different departments (Finance, Operations, Sales).

About you

  • 3-5 years of experience in revenue analysis, financial analysis, or a related role.
  • A foundational understanding of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606) is beneficial.
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and modern accounting tech stacks a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and a curiosity and eagerness to adopt emerging technologies to improve processes, efficiency, and analytical output.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel a plus, with proficiency across the remaining Microsoft suite of business applications.
  • Experience in PE-backed or acquisitive environments a strong plus.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and strong analytical problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
