Job description

Revenue Cycle Analyst

Location: On-Site, Lewisville, TX

Compensation: Dependent on Experience

Schedule: Exempt Full-Time

The Revenue Cycle Analyst analyzes and audits data to optimize revenue cycle processes and to support GMR’s revenue strategies. This role monitors and evaluates data to identify root causes behind changing patterns in key measures to the revenue cycle, including collections, payor reimbursement, payor mix, and accounts receivable. This role requires knowledge of revenue cycle operations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to produce reports and present findings to all levels of the organization. Finally, this position will perform all duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with GMR's mission, values, and professional standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and present Revenue Cycle Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports, on a recurring basis (i.e. weekly, monthly, quarterly), to Revenue Cycle and Operational Leaders.
  • Proactively identify and communicate unfavorable reimbursement trends, provide key insights for potential root causes, and recommend targeted improvement opportunities.
  • Perform account audits to review revenue cycle processes and monitor payor behavior.
  • Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of revenue cycle improvement opportunities through dashboards and reports.
  • Provide Revenue Cycle analytical support to other departments on an ad hoc basis.
  • Work with revenue cycle management team in performing deep dive analyses around improving outcomes with, but not limited to, collections, unbilled claims, accounts receivable, and denials.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field from an accredited college or university preferred
  • 3+ years of Healthcare Revenue Cycle experience
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, with expertise creating Pivot Tables to analyze data and generate detailed reports
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Work with persons at all levels of the organization and interact with members of multiple departments successfully
  • Work with minimal supervision to accomplish and carry out goals/objectives on time
