Position Overview:

Oversees the Oncology Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) activities and may perform or oversee the dual benefit investigation process, pharmacy benefit and medical benefit for oral, sub-cutaneous drugs, and infused drugs. The Director of Oncology RCM and Medical Billing manages the strategic and operational activities of the upfront benefit verification, Prior Authorization approval process and oversees the hiring, training, and compliance of the medical billing services.

Essential Skills/Experience

Fluently speak, read, and write English. Spanish is a plus.

Excellent organizational skills

Proven time management skills

Must have experience with infusion billing and coding

Must have revenue cycle management (RCM), pharmacy benefit and medical benefit billing experience.

Must have the ability to maintain constructive working relationships with patients, families, co-workers, community organizations and physicians.

Must have patience and be able to set priorities effectively.

Team player

Knowledge of the Oncology PA and Appeals process

Proven ability to prioritize and multi-task

Computer skills and Revenue Cycle Management Software experience

Responsibilities:

 Oversees the Oncology Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) activities and may perform or oversee the dual benefit investigation process

 Manages the strategic and operational activities of the upfront benefit verification, Prior Authorization approval process

 Oversees the hiring, training, and compliance of the medical billing services.

 Monitors daily referral volume and team performance to ensure the turn-around-time is meeting expectations.

 Assist with accreditation needs and monitors that requirements for URAC, ACHC, and other Oncology certifications are in compliance.

 Participate in staff meetings, conference calls, and other meetings, as needed.

 Performs other incidental and related duties as required.
