Job Description

  • Manage multiple tax engagements from planning through completion.
  • Review federal and state income tax returns for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, individuals, and other pass-through entities.
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
  • Research complex tax issues and communicate practical solutions.
  • Consult with clients regarding business, tax, and financial matters.
  • Supervise, mentor, train, and review the work of staff accountants.
  • Manage engagement budgets, staffing, and deadlines while maintaining high-quality client service.
  • Review estimated tax calculations and multistate tax filings.
  • Assist with business transactions, entity structuring, mergers, acquisitions, and other consulting engagements.
  • Stay current on changing tax laws and industry developments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or closely related field.
  • Active CPA license or substantial progress toward licensure.
  • 3+ years of public accounting tax experience.
  • Experience reviewing partnership, S corporation, C corporation, and individual tax returns.
  • Experience managing multiple client engagements.
  • Prior experience supervising or mentoring staff.
  • Strong client communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with tax planning and consulting.
  • Ability to work full-time in the Pleasant Grove, Utah office.
  • Experience with high-net-worth clients, multistate taxation, ASC 740, business transactions, or Big 4 experience is a plus.
