Tax Administrator


Position Summary


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Tax Administrator to play a crucial role in supporting our Tax Department. This position will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, as well as assisting with client service activities to ensure the department runs efficiently and client needs are met in a timely, professional manner. As a Tax Administrator, you’ll be an essential part of our commitment to delivering outstanding service to our clients and supporting the success of our tax professionals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to tax professionals, including preparing and organizing tax documents, reports, and correspondence.
  • Assist in the processing and tracking of tax returns, extensions, and estimated payments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in our tax systems and databases.
  • Coordinate client communications including scheduling meetings, following up on document requests, and ensuring timely delivery of completed returns.
  • Organize and manage electronic and physical tax files to ensure compliance with firm procedures.
  • Support onboarding of new clients by collecting documentation and setting up internal records.
  • Monitor deadlines and support timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
  • Assist in billing processes and tracking time entry for the tax team.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned to support the team and enhance client service.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Administrative or office support experience, ideally in a professional services or accounting/tax environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word); experience with tax software and document management systems a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
