ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Postproduction Manager, the Photo Retoucher is responsible for editing a high volume of eCommerce product images, shot daily in our photo studio. You will oversee retouching complex and demanding editorial fashion campaign photography. Your expertise will be instrumental in the company exceeding the expectations of our customers and ensure our products are represented accurately. As a color specialist, you will also be responsible for ensuring color accuracy and consistency across digital and print media, performing advanced color swapping, balancing tones, and maintaining calibrated workflows in collaboration with photographers and production teams. An eye for detail, deep understanding of color theory, and
proficiency in industry-standard software like Adobe Photoshop.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Retouch and upload product photography images
  • Manipulate, adjust, and swap colors on products while maintaining natural texture, shadows, and lighting integrity
  • Create multiple color variants of a single product image as needed for product lines or promotional use.
  • Match product images to physical color samples and style guides for visual consistency across channels.
  • Name and maintain digital asset file|structure organization
  • Crop digital photographic images|maintain file size specification guidelines
  • Ensure color consistency between image assets
  • Upload assets to servers in accordance with calendars
  • Strong color correction skills, matching images from different cameras
  • Perform quality assurance on all images
  • Responsible for completion of work to daily and weekly deadlines
  • Ability to receive creative direction from the Director, Art and the Director, Creative Services, and make amends where necessary
  • Demonstrate initiative and ideas to constantly improve the service of the photography team

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
  • Two plus years of experience as a Photo Retoucher in a studio environment, ideally in the Fashion eCommerce industry
  • Proven experience in photo retouching and color manipulation, with a strong portfolio demonstrating before-and-after examples
  • Strong knowledge of color theory, with the ability to perform color corrections, adjustments, and creative color grading to enhance product imagery.
  • Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite and Photoshop
  • Detail oriented, organized, and methodical approach to retouching
  • Enthusiasm for exploring new techniques and ideas in pursuit of improving existing workflow
  • Knowledge of studio photography and lighting practices, as well as photographic vocabulary and terms.
  • Able to have a detail-oriented dialogue about the properties of a given image.
  • Passionate about teamwork and team building
  • Willingness to embrace giving and receiving critical feedback
  • BA degree in Photography or equivalent work experience
  • English, additional language(s) an advantage
  • Schedule of this position: Monday - Friday | Core business hours | Onsite
