Independent Contractor – Photo Retoucher (Influencer Social Media Content)

Engagement Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

Location: Remote

Compensation: Competitive compensation based on experience and project scope. Compensation may be structured on an hourly, project, or per-deliverable basis, as mutually agreed upon.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced freelance Photo Retoucher to edit and enhance social media content for a lifestyle influencer. The ideal candidate has experience creating polished, high-quality imagery for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube while maintaining a natural, authentic aesthetic that aligns with the influencer's personal brand.

Applicants must be comfortable working with artistic nudity and other sensitive visual content when required.

This is a project-based independent contractor opportunity. Work assignments will be offered on an as-needed basis. There is no guarantee of ongoing work, minimum hours, or future assignments.

Scope of Work

The contractor may perform services including:

  • Retouch and enhance photos for social media posts, stories, marketing campaigns, and brand partnerships.

  • Perform skin retouching, color correction, lighting adjustments, and background cleanup while preserving a natural appearance.

  • Maintain a consistent editing style and visual identity across content.

  • Remove distractions, blemishes, and unwanted objects while maintaining image authenticity.

  • Prepare images optimized for various social media platforms and aspect ratios.

  • Deliver completed projects that meet agreed-upon creative, technical, and delivery specifications.

  • Organize and manage digital assets and edited files.

  • Communicate project status and coordinate deliverables as needed.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience retouching lifestyle, fashion, beauty, travel, or influencer photography.

  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, and other professional retouching software. Experience with FaceApp or similar tools is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of current social media aesthetics, trends, and platform requirements.

  • Excellent eye for color, composition, lighting, and visual storytelling.

  • Ability to maintain consistency across large volumes of content.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects independently.

  • Excellent communication and time-management skills.

  • Portfolio demonstrating relevant retouching work is preferred.
