Job description

GENERAL PURPOSE

Perform proficiently in different aspect of multiple plant duties. Provide relief in jobs and learn duties of production, packaging, sanitation, and other roles as assigned.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform a variety of line duties within the manufacturing environment to include highly skilled / senior-level processing, machine operator, and/or break relief operator jobs (e.g., Receiver, Blend/Filler/CIP/Retort/ Evaporator/Pasteurizer operators). This may include troubleshooting and performing minor maintenance repairs

Review process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot

Assist with training efforts in functional area as needed

Review charts, screens, quality check sheets, and specifications that are in both hard copy and electronic format

Engage in problem solving to assist in improving production, safety, quality, and yields

Ensure operational efficiencies by positioning work, setting up of jobs, adjusting and operating equipment for proper functions and manufacturing of product

Perform quality monitoring of statistical information and report on variations to supervisor and lab

Inspect and identify any issues and perform preventative maintenance when needed

Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately

Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues

Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
