Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures that Retort loading and unloading equipment is functional prior to startup.
- Monitors chlorine levels in processing water.
- Reports items that are out of specification, i.e., chlorine levels.
- Maintains control of Cook-Chex cards and incubation samples.
- Operates loaders, unloaders, and shuttle car functions when necessary.
- Reports maintenance issues as they occur and submits work orders to supervisor.
- Isolates deviated product when a hold situation occurs and informs supervisor.
- Performs vegetable delumper on salsa and white dip days (see Vegetable Delumper job description).
- Monitors and tests function of turned over jar detectors.
- Clears jars from Hydrocooler exit on a regular basis.
- Utilizes inventory of all ingredients on a first in/first out basis.
- Operates hand-held scanning device to maintain accurate inventory.
- Follows all DFA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate, regulatory quality, and sanitation requirements.
- Performs items on Master Sanitation lists when production is not running.
- Handles cleaning chemicals in a safe manner utilizing safety equipment such as gloves, eyewear, etc.
- Assists in training new operators.
- Maintain safe environment and perform other duties in a safe manner at all times.
- Ability to function in a team based structure and positively contribute to team based efforts.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Shift Hours - 2:00PM - 10:00PM - MONDAY - FRIDAY / SATURDAYS BASED ON PRODUCT DEMAND

Starting Rate - $18.50 + .50/hour Shift Differential - Start Times of 2pm or Later

90 Day Rate Increase to $23.66
