What does a retirement plans manager do?

A Retirement Plans Manager is responsible for overseeing and administering employer-sponsored retirement plans, such as 401(k) or pension programs. Their duties include ensuring compliance with federal regulations, managing plan documentation, coordinating with service providers, and assisting employees with plan enrollment and education. They also handle audits, process contributions and distributions, and work with HR and finance departments to ensure the retirement plans meet organizational goals. Ultimately, a Retirement Plans Manager helps employees prepare for a secure retirement while minimizing the employer’s legal and administrative risks.
