Job description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide education support to retirement plan participants through 1 on 1 meetings.
- Create retirement plan education strategies for plan sponsors which include webinars and newsletters.
- Provide guidance to participants regarding their retirement plan accounts (general guidance, instructions for updating investments/contributions, discussing options for rollovers, distributions, etc.)
- Build and maintain an existing book of business.
- Prepare and interpret financial document summaries, investment performance reports, and income projections for clients.
- Participate in day-to-day communication with clients and participants proactively.
- Analyze client financial data received from clients to develop strategies for meeting clients' financial goals.
- Talking to clients to determine a comprehensive financial picture (may include expenses, income, financial objectives, tax status, risk tolerance) or other information needed to develop a financial plan.
- Manage and update client portfolios.
- Place trades for clients (at various custodians).
- Ensure the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.
- Contribute to various team meetings.
- Contribute to a positive workplace environment.
- Perform other related duties as requested by clients or managers.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor's degree
- FINRA Series 65 or 66 license
- 3+ years of relevant financial services industry experience
- Comprehensive retirement industry and investment knowledge
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Detail orientated and superior organizational skills
- Deadline driven
- Team player with the ability to collaborate with others
- Mastery of various financial planning and investment software products (Orion, MoneyGuide Pro etc.)
