Description
Position is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and strengthening brand awareness within an assigned territory. Serving as the authorized account representative, this role develops and maintains strong supplier and customer relationships while executing integrated sales and marketing strategies. The position supports account growth through product knowledge training, merchandising execution, inventory management and in-store support to maximize sales performance and customer satisfaction.

Job Duties:
Ability to perform all essential responsibilities for the Market Sales Manager is to include:

  • Travel to customer locations to perform sales, support services and product knowledge training for vendor products in assigned stores
  • Responsible for building and maintaining strong supplier and customer relationships to increase sales
  • Create market feedback reports regarding customers and competitors; provide recommendations for new products based on market trends
  • Support and provide product knowledge to customers by demonstrating and providing product application training
  • Respond to customer sales and technical inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Resolve customer and supplier concerns or disputes effectively
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify new sales opportunities
  • Facilitate sales, marketing and promotional campaigns by acquainting accounts with the latest sales techniques
  • Resolve any customer and vendor differences
  • Assist with placing special orders
  • Execute merchandising initiatives, including planogram compliance and maintenance of product displays
  • Manage and maintain inventory levels, make adjustments as required
  • Attend and represent the trade / industry shows and training sessions as required
  • Create and report sales impacts to management
  • Travel with AMS Regional Manager designated and/or Customer Manager when necessary
  • Comply with all AMS and Customer policies and procedures
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Travel required which includes overnight stays
  • Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates is required
  • Must be Microsoft Office proficient
  • Bilingual (English-Spanish) language proficiency a plus
  • Excellent communication, presentation, written and technical skills required
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and provide proof of insurance (must meet company’s minimum requirements)
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers and vendors
  • Required to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, bending and twisting required
  • HS diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred
  • 2 years of sales/commercial product experience preferred
  • 1 year of field sales/customer service experience preferred
