About the role
The System Administrator is responsible for the reliability, security, and day-to-day operation of the organization's IT infrastructure. This role supports both on-premises and cloud-based systems, ensuring that critical systems and services are available, secure, and performing effectively. The System Administrator works closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and support ongoing infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable balancing operational support with project-based work.
What you'll do
  • Perform server and security audits.
  • Perform system backups and recovery.
  • Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software in conjunction with end-users and department managers.
  • Assist Security team with implementing disaster recovery strategies.
  • Use Microsoft 365 / Entra ID (Azure AD) to administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Coordinate with network engineering, business application, and database administration functions to implement cloud (PaaS), desktop and server systems that utilize industry best practices to meet corporate objectives.
  • Administer on-prem and cloud based systems including patch management, system monitoring, and alerting
  • Script and code solutions to automate business tasks to ensure approved, reliable, outcomes using modern scripting languages.
