Charles Schwab's Retail Strategy & Analytics is the internal management consulting group for the Retail business, which is the primary business unit at Schwab, responsible for $18B in revenue and 13,000 employees worldwide. Retail Strategy & Analytics serves as a trusted adviser to the head of the Retail business and the Retail Leadership Team and works on strategic, operational, and analytical issues at the top of senior management's agenda. The team of roughly 40 professionals is a premier pipeline for diverse and high-potential talent, and alumni include senior leaders across the firm.
Retail Strategy & Analytics serves two primary functions: assisting with strategic decisions, operational and business planning needs for the Retail Leadership Team, and supporting ongoing analytics and reporting needs for the Retail Leadership Team. This opening is for the Retail Strategy function. Typical projects include growth strategy, market assessment and entry evaluation, M&A and divestiture strategy, and operating model / organizational design.
We are seeking a Senior Specialist who will help shape plans for new initiatives and manage high-priority strategy projects. This role is designed for someone who can apply strong analytical rigor, structured problem solving, clear communication, and collaborative partnership to influence strategic decisions for Schwab's Retail business.
What You'll Do
  • Support high-priority strategy initiatives for Schwab's Retail business, helping shape recommendations on growth, operating model, and business performance topics.
  • Partner with senior team members to own analysis and discrete workstreams that inform senior-level strategic decisions.
  • Execute structured analyses for large, complex projects, applying both quantitative and qualitative problem-solving approaches.
  • Develop fact-based strategic insights by synthesizing data, research, and stakeholder input into clear implications and recommendations.
  • Influence key strategic decisions through rigorous analysis and compelling storytelling.
  • Work across a broad range of strategic topics, building a deep and well-rounded understanding of Schwab's Retail business.
