We specialize in planning, engineering, and building food process plants and cold-storage warehouse and distribution facilities for food processors, distributors, retailers, wholesalers, and more.


Food Tech is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead the design and coordination of electrical building systems, such as electrical distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.

  • Leading the design effort for electrical building systems and coordinating with other design team
    members.
  • Design electrical distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
  • Performing progress and final design reviews.
  • Participating in estimating process for electrical systems.
  • Evaluating electrical bid packages.
  • Submittal review, RFI responses, and field visits.
  • Supervising the supporting engineers and drafters and supporting talent growth within the department.
  • Other tasks as required.

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related 4-year degree
  • Professional Engineering (PE) Licensure
  • 10+ years of relevant experience; Electrical design experience in food production, pharmaceutical, or other sanitary environments strongly desired.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites, estimated 15-25% time
  • Knowledge in Revit and other BIM platforms a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Supervisory and leadership skills
