What is a retail sales intern?

Retail Sales Interns are entry-level professionals who work in retail environments to gain practical experience in sales, customer service, and store operations. They typically assist with tasks such as stocking shelves, helping customers find products, processing transactions, and maintaining store displays. The internship provides them with hands-on learning opportunities and exposure to retail management, sales techniques, and customer engagement. Retail Sales Interns often work under the supervision of experienced staff and may participate in training sessions designed to develop their sales and communication skills.

What types of projects or responsibilities can a retail sales intern typically expect during their internship?
