Position Overview

The Business Technology - Project Manager is responsible forleading and coordinating all technology delivery efforts supporting newrestaurant openings (NROs), remodels, and acquisitions. This role partnersclosely with Store Development, Operations, Franchisees, and cross-functionalteams to ensure timely, consistent, and scalable deployment of restauranttechnology.

In addition to execution, this role plays a key part in programgovernance, project standardization, and continuous improvement, ensuringtechnology rollouts are predictable, well-documented, and aligned with broaderbusiness and PMO objectives.


Key Responsibilities

Technology Delivery & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end technology implementation for new restaurant openings, remodels, acquisitions, and special projects, including networking, POS, security systems, and in-store technology.
  • Coordinate with Store Development and Operations to define and deliver technology requirements for each project scope.
  • Ensure all systems are installed, tested, and fully operational prior to turnover to Operations.
  • Develop and maintain standardized processes for staging, shipping, installation, and field validation of IT equipment.
  • Travel to project sites as needed to ensure execution quality and represent Business Technology in the field.

Program & PMO Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects using structured project management methodologies, ensuring adherence to timelines, scope, and quality expectations.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, and status reporting across all NRO and remodel initiatives.
  • Track and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating appropriately and driving resolution.
  • Establish and maintain standardized templates, workflows, and playbooks for repeatable execution across brands and locations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional project alignment across IT, Operations, Security, Procurement, and Store Development teams.
  • Support portfolio-level visibility by maintaining accurate dashboards, reporting metrics, and project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, including procurement (S2P), security assessments, and audit readiness requirements.
  • Lead or contribute to post-project reviews, capturing lessons learned and integrating improvements into future deployments.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and installation partners to ensure delivery quality and accountability.
  • Oversee procurement coordination to ensure timely ordering, delivery, and installation of all required technology components.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Franchisees on all technology-related topics, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, validate solutions, and ensure smooth handoffs.

Knowledge Management & ContinuousImprovement

  • Maintain and update a centralized knowledge base of technology standards, configurations, and deployment processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance scalability of technology rollouts.
  • Stay current on restaurant technology trends and recommend enhancements aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives.

Technical Experience

  • Working knowledge of NCR Aloha POS, NCR Back Office (NBO), and restaurant technology environments.
  • Experience with networking, hardware deployment, and in-store IT systems.
  • Familiarity with PCI and security compliance requirements.
  • Experience using project management tools such as Asana (or similar platforms).

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel regularly (up to 5 days at a time).
  • Passport or ability to obtain one preferred.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in IT, business technology, or restaurant systems support.
