A Retail Real Estate Manager is responsible for overseeing a company's retail property portfolio, which includes acquiring, leasing, managing, and disposing of retail locations. Their work helps optimize store locations, control costs, and support the company's overall growth strategy.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a retail real estate manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Retail Real Estate Manager, you need expertise in property management, site selection, lease negotiation, and market analysis, usually supported by a bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or a related field. Proficiency with real estate management software, financial modeling tools, and familiarity with industry-specific regulations and certifications like Certified Property Manager (CPM) are commonly required.
