Job description

A well-established, privately held commercial real estate owner/operator is seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of retail assets from its corporate headquarters in Boca Raton, FL. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial property manager looking to join a stable organization with a large national retail portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail property management, tenant relations, capital projects, and day-to-day property operations.
  • Boca Raton, FL (Onsite - 5 Days/Week)
  • $110,000-$130,000 Base Salary (Flexible Based on Experience)
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of retail shopping centers and single-tenant retail properties.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness.
  • Coordinate tenant improvements, build-outs, move-ins, and ongoing operational needs.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs and ensure properties are maintained to company standards.
  • Manage capital improvement projects, including roofing, paving, parking lots, façade improvements, and building systems.
  • Coordinate construction projects with contractors, vendors, and tenants while ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Prepare and manage annual operating budgets, forecasts, and monthly variance reporting.
  • Negotiate and manage vendor contracts while maintaining strong relationships with service providers.
  • Conduct routine property inspections and proactively identify maintenance and operational needs.
  • Work closely with leasing, accounting, asset management, and executive leadership to support portfolio performance.
  • Ensure compliance with lease obligations, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Assist with strategic planning initiatives that improve property operations and enhance asset value.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5-10+ years of commercial retail property management experience required.
  • Experience managing retail shopping centers and/or single-tenant retail portfolios.
  • Strong tenant coordination and relationship management experience.
  • Experience overseeing CAPEX projects and construction activities, including tenant improvements and building repairs.
  • Proven ability to manage vendors, contractors, budgets, and multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience reviewing operating budgets and property expenses.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • A college degree is not required; relevant commercial real estate experience is valued above formal education.
