Job description

OVERVIEW:

This role drives the execution of the Retail Operations strategy by ensuring stores are equipped with scalable processes, capabilities, and systems that deliver operational excellence, and bestinclass performance and customer experience.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end retail operations, driving improvement across inventory accuracy, logistics, shrink, labor planning, payroll, compliance, risk, property, and retail technology (POS, apps, endless aisle).
  • Define and scale SOPs/BSPs, operational frameworks, reporting, training, and communication rhythms to ensure consistent execution.
  • Act as the primary operational partner to stores, prioritizing field needs and customer experience.
  • Lead vendor and supplier management to ensure quality, performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Champion operational excellence, efficiency, and profitability through data-driven decision-making.
  • Serve as a senior cross-functional partner and retail consultant across the business.

New Store Openings (NSO)

  • Lead and govern the full NSO lifecycle, ensuring consistency, budget control, and alignment with global standards.
  • Translate BAU operations into scalable NSO playbooks, tools, and multi-format frameworks.
  • Oversee NSO execution including store setup, inventory, systems, visual merchandising, compliance, vendor coordination, and readiness.
  • Partner with Retail Training to deliver onboarding, soft openings, and operational handover.

Leadership & Accountability

  • Lead and develop high-performing retail and NSO teams, building a strong and diverse talent pipeline.
  • Own retail operations and NSO budgets, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Deliver core KPIs including stock accuracy, shrink, labor efficiency, logistics performance, and system stability.
  • Ensure effective risk management, secure stock movements, and fit-for-purpose systems and data.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • 5+ years of Retail & operations experience in a fast paced, high volume and agile environment
  • Experience with retail labour management
  • Experience in new store openings in a variety of formats in North America
  • Strong project skills, ability to lead, manage & support multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Ability to shift between the strategic and the operational details
  • Clear communicator
  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills
  • Understanding of how to motivate & communicate to retail team/s
  • Experience in decision making, negotiation and problem solving
  • Willing to challenge and be challenged

SALARY RANGE

This role has a salary range between $120,000-140,000. We are committed to fair and consistent pay practices. The salary range shown represents the anticipated hiring range for this position and may vary depending on individual qualifications and internal equity
