Job description

The Operations Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Culver Eagle Outfitters across multiple retail locations and online channels. This position assists with sales performance, operational execution, and retail clerk oversight while providing leadership for part-time and seasonal employees. The role also supports retail systems functionality and is responsible for the setup and operational execution of seasonal store locations (Culver Museum & Gift Shop and Woodcraft Eagle Outpost).

Operational & Supervisory
โ€ข ย  ย Assist in overseeing day-to-day operations across all store locations and online channelsย 
โ€ข ย  ย Supervise and coordinate seasonal and part-time employees, including scheduling and daily oversightย 
โ€ข ย  ย Support opening and closing responsibilitiesย 
โ€ข ย  ย Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders
โ€ข ย  ย Train and supervise staff

Sales & Business Operations
โ€ข ย  ย Monitor sales trends and seasonal demand to support inventory planning and operational decisionsย 
โ€ข ย  ย Identify slow-moving products and recommend markdown or promotional strategiesย 
โ€ข ย  ย Assist with ordering weekly and high-turnover merchandise (e.g., food, beverages, personal care items)ย

Other Duties
โ€ข ย  ย Perform cash register duties as required.
โ€ข ย  ย May be asked to work other campus store locations and events.
โ€ข ย  ย Occasional evenings and weekends required based on operational needs.

REQUIREMENTS: A bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing or equivalent experience is required. It is preferred that candidates have experience in retail analytics, inventory management, or business intelligence. Experience using Shopify is desired. Must have excellent administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills, and highly developed computer skills. An aptitude for numbers, safe cash handling procedures, and a demonstrated ability to build relationships using vital customer service and communication skills are essential to success in this position. This position requires the ability to lift 50 pounds frequently.
