Job description

SUMMARY
The Retail Operations Manager supports and assists the Director of Retail Operations with all operations of the store including merchandising, replenishment of the Team Store and other retail locations, assisting in daily warehouse and e-commerce operations. This position also leads all people operations, including staffing, scheduling, recruiting, department onboarding, and training to ensure a high-performing and well-supported team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as Game Night/Event Manager as assigned, including ensuring appropriate staffing levels, coverage, breaks, sales reconciliation, and proper store close at the end of the event.
  • Responsible, in partnership with the Director of Retail Operations, for supporting the operations of retail store(s) and warehouses.
  • Responsible, in partnership with the Director of Retail Operations, for all people operations, including recruiting, interviewing, department onboarding, and training for part-time team members.
  • Develop and manage monthly and event-based schedules, ensuring alignment with labor budgets.
  • Assist with coordination of outbound e-commerce shipments and oversight of the .com fulfillment process, including leading a team of part-time staff to ensure efficiency and accuracy in order fulfillment.
  • Utilize key retail systems, including Retail Cloud, RFID checkout, Shopify, ShipStation, and Microsoft Excel.
  • In collaboration with retail leadership, ensure timely and accurate completion of all store reports.
  • Maintain the highest level of customer service through the Elevate program across all locations, both personally and through effective staff management.
  • In every position, each employee is expected to align with PS&E's mission and core values along while actively participating in company-sponsored community outreach programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of three years experience in retail operations and one year in a supervisory role required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, retail management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
  • Experience in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring processes preferred.
  • Experience leading training programs, onboarding, and employee development initiatives preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage day-to-day retail operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and a high level of execution.
  • Experience supporting or leading merchandising, inventory, and sales floor operations.
  • Ability to analyze sales performance, inventory levels, and operational data to inform decision-making.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making ability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to analyze and maintain accurate inventory levels and reduce shrink.
  • Good understanding of retail math concepts and calculations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and retail systems (POS, RF scanners, Shopify, etc.).
