Job description

THE ROLE

Our Real Estate Acquisition Managers play a critical role in expanding Voltera's EV charging network by identifying, negotiating, and securing strategic real estate opportunities for future fast-charging hubs. As the face of Voltera within their region, they spend significant time in the field evaluating sites, building strong relationships with property owners, developers, brokers, and other key stakeholders, and leading commercial negotiations to bring high-potential projects to life.

The ideal candidate is resilient, resourceful, and driven by results. They thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, remain persistent in the face of challenges or rejection, and approach complex problems with creativity and strategic thinking. If you're someone who enjoys building relationships, uncovering opportunities, and turning ambitious ideas into reality, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the future of transportation infrastructure.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Identify, source, negotiate, and execute strategic real estate opportunities that support Voltera's long-term growth and expansion of its EV charging network.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to develop and execute the company's real estate acquisition strategy.
  • Conduct site visits and feasibility assessments to evaluate the operational, technical, and financial viability of prospective charging locations.
  • Manage the top of the acquisition pipeline, including site screening, market analysis, financial evaluation, and documentation of new opportunities.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with property owners, developers, brokers, and other stakeholders to secure favorable site agreements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key real estate owners, developers, and strategic partners to identify and advance portfolio development opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to complete site due diligence, ensuring projects meet development, operational, and financial requirements.

MUST-HAVE

  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate, retail site selection, infrastructure development, or a related field.
  • A self-starter with a high level of drive, resilience, and persistence, who thrives in a results-oriented environment.
  • Excels in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting and enjoys tackling complex challenges.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and a process-oriented approach to work.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize competing priorities, and drive projects forward with minimal oversight.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region and occasionally to other regions as business needs require.
  • Must be located in one of the cities listed in the job posting.

LOCATION

  • Remote (NYC area)
