Job description

Overview
Company Overview
We are Moncler. The brand of extraordinary.
At the intersection of luxury, culture, and performance, Moncler has built a distinctive global brand defined by innovation, creativity, and a commitment to excellence. Guided by our purpose, to unleash the extraordinary in everybody, and our core values, Push for Higher Peaks, One House All Voices, Embrace Crazy, Be Warm, and Create & Protect Tomorrow, we continue to evolve the landscape of modern luxury.
Joining Moncler in a leadership capacity means operating at the forefront of growth-shaping strategy, developing talent, and driving business performance in a dynamic and evolving environment. This is an opportunity to lead with impact, influence the future of the organization, and contribute to a brand that continues to set new standards in luxury.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Vice President of Retail, the Director of Retail Training leads the training strategy and execution for Moncler's directly operated stores and concessions across the Americas. The Director oversees Field Training Managers and provides functional leadership to the network of in-store trainers and Training Majors, ensuring learning initiatives strengthen selling excellence, retail leadership capability, client experience, operational consistency, and business performance.
In addition to leading the broader Training function, the Director will have direct training responsibility for an assigned portfolio of stores, serving as the primary Field Trainer for those locations. The role therefore combines strategic leadership and people management with hands-on training delivery, store coaching, and direct partnership with retail leadership.
Partnering closely with Retail, Human Resources, Merchandising, Client Development (CRM), Visual Merchandising, and Global Training, the Director adapts global learning programs while developing region-specific content to address the evolving needs of the Americas business.
This is a highly field-facing role requiring regular time in stores. The ideal candidate is a strategic yet hands-on luxury retail leader who can lead a training organization while remaining directly connected to store teams, leaders, clients, and commercial performance.
Your Impact
Retail Training Strategy & Leadership
  • Develop and execute the Retail Training strategy across Moncler directly operated stores and concessions throughout the Americas, aligning learning priorities with commercial objectives, client experience, and brand standards.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Field Training Managers while providing functional direction to in-store Trainers and Training Majors to ensure consistency and accountability across the network.
  • Partner with the Vice President of Retail and Retail Leadership to identify capability and performance gaps and translate business priorities into actionable learning plans.
  • Serve as the primary regional partner to Global Training, implementing global programs while adapting content and delivery to the needs of the Americas market.

Field Training
  • Maintain direct training responsibility for an assigned portfolio of stores, serving as the primary Field Trainer and establishing training priorities based on each location's business and development needs.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the selling floor, observing client interactions, selling behaviors, and leadership practices while providing real-time coaching and follow-up.
  • Conduct ongoing training needs assessments and personally deliver training, workshops, and coaching interventions for assigned stores.
  • Maintain visibility across the broader retail network to understand regional needs, coach Field Training Managers, and ensure consistent execution of training standards.

Learning Design & Retail Leadership Capability
  • Lead the design, development, localization, and continuous improvement of learning programs supporting clienteling, selling excellence, storytelling, product expertise, styling, retail leadership, operational excellence, and new business initiatives.
  • Develop annual learning roadmaps and training calendars that balance Global priorities with regional and store-specific business needs.
  • Utilize blended learning methodologies, including instructor-led training, digital learning, workshops, role play, and on-the-job coaching.
  • Establish train-the-trainer programs that strengthen the capabilities of Field Training Managers, in-store Trainers, and Training Majors and create a scalable learning model across the retail network.
  • Develop the capabilities of Store Managers and other Retail Leaders through targeted coaching and programs focused on leadership effectiveness, team management, performance, client experience, and commercial execution.
  • Partner with Human Resources on broader talent development, succession, performance management, and organizational development initiatives, with HR retaining ownership of enterprise talent development strategy and programs.
  • Support retail onboarding and early integration, ensuring employees receive consistent brand, product, service, and role-specific training.

Business Partnership & Performance
  • Partner with Retail Operations, Merchandising, Client Development (CRM), Human Resources, Visual Merchandising, and other functions to ensure training priorities remain connected to business needs.
  • Leverage commercial results, field observations, client experience measures, MARS, VIBE, CRM behaviors, and other relevant indicators to identify development opportunities and evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Analyze trends across stores and regions and translate insights into training priorities, action plans, and recommendations.
  • Provide Retail Leadership with visibility into training activity, impact, opportunities, and areas requiring additional focus.

Retail Initiatives & Training Operations
  • Lead the training component of new store openings, renovations, product launches, and other strategic retail initiatives, ensuring teams are prepared for successful execution.
  • Oversee the regional training calendar and allocation of Field Training resources based on business priorities and store needs.
  • Manage the Retail Training budget and external training partners, as required.
