As a Portfolio Analytics & Strategy Specialist within PNC's Retail Data Solutions & Delivery organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, or Philadelphia, PA; Cleveland, or Brecksville, OH; Wilmington, DE; Tyson's Corner, VA; or Washington, D.C.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly analytical and technically curious Portfolio Analytics & Strategy Specialist to join our Retail Data Solutions & Delivery team. This role will support the development, delivery, and optimization of data-driven solutions that enable strategic decision-making across Retail Banking and related business functions.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with technical proficiency in modern data technologies and cloud-based platforms. This individual will collaborate with business partners, product owners, technology teams, and stakeholders to deliver actionable insights, support data initiatives, perform testing activities, and drive continuous process improvement. Candidates should be comfortable translating business requirements into data solutions while leveraging emerging technologies such as Generative AI and AI-assisted development tools.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Experience working with large and complex datasets to support business decision-making.
Proficiency with: Python, PySpark, or AWS
Familiarity with at least one programming language and software development concepts.
Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated critical thinking and strategic thinking abilities.
Experience identifying business challenges and recommending data-driven solutions.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, frameworks, or cloud-based technology platforms.
Experience gathering, interpreting, and documenting business requirements.
Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
Proven experience executing and documenting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Experience with: Generative AI tools, GitHub, and Copilot

  • Provides financial and regulatory reporting and analyses to maintain adequate controls over the financial and regulatory reporting processes. Responsible for running complex business performance, risk and operational analytics. May include the development of analytical methods/models to assess market, credit and/or operational risk of new and existing financial products.
  • Leverages business / product expertise to rigorously analyze large datasets, improve risk adjusted returns, deliver profitable growth, and communicate conclusions. Synthesizes analytical results and develops, recommends, and implements business strategies that improve lending decisions, assist in managing risk, increase revenues, reduce exposure to losses, meet business goals, and improve performance. Establishes baselines for strategies and tracks actual performance to expectations.
  • Applies predictive models, third party data, and other tools to develop and execute appropriate segmentation and targeting for acquisition and portfolio strategies to provide insight into portfolio risk. Manages engagements with internal and external information suppliers ensuring solution is fit for purpose while maintaining appropriate governance and oversight.
  • Works with business, credit, data, and model development partners to design, develop, and monitor test designs and analytical reporting to track and enhance strategies. Designs / enhances standard reporting suites for regular product / portfolio reviews.
  • Collaborates with the line of business, Finance, and Risk partners to assess and establish credit risk appetite and to understand its implications, as well as to establish policies and procedures governing the identification, monitoring, and management of risk appetite.
