Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize modern cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake, Python, SQL, Airflow, and AI-powered analytics, with a passion for building scalable data products and leveraging modern engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will design and develop scalable Snowflake-based data solutions
  • You will build and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines and data models
  • You will leverage Snowflake Cortex to enable AI-powered analytics and insights
  • You will develop and manage Airflow workflows and orchestration frameworks
  • You will implement Spec-Driven Development using Cursor and AI-assisted engineering
  • You will create Power BI-ready semantic layers and analytics datasets
  • You will drive automation, testing, monitoring, and CI/CD best practices
  • You will collaborate with business and analytics teams to deliver high-quality data products

Experience Required & Education:

  • 8โ€“12 years of experience in Data Engineering and Cloud Data Platforms
  • Bachelor''s/masterโ€™s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

Must-Have:

  • Expert in Snowflake (Architecture, Data Modeling, Performance Tuning, Snowpark, Dynamic Tables, Streams & Tasks)
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex (Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, AI-powered analytics)
  • Strong expertise in Python and advanced SQL
  • Experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Strong knowledge of Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration
  • Experience with Power BI datasets, semantic models, and report optimization
  • Proficient in Cursor IDE and AI-assisted development
  • Hands-on experience with Spec-Driven Development (SDD) and metadata-driven engineering
  • Strong understanding of Git, CI/CD, and DataOps practices
  • Experience integrating data from APIs, SaaS applications, and enterprise systems

Good to Have:

  • Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
  • Exposure to Datadog or enterprise monitoring tools
  • Experience with AI/GenAI-driven data engineering solutions
  • Knowledge of Azure/AWS cloud platforms
  • Retail, Consumer, or QSR domain experience
  • Experience working in Agile product teams
  • Exposure to modern data platform modernization initiatives
