Become a Store Manager at Plato's Closet!

Are you passionate about leading a team, developing others, taking ownership of your role, and achieving measurable goals with the opportunity to share in the profits when you succeed? If so, you may be the perfect fit for our Store Manager position at Plato's Closet!

At Plato's Closet, we buy and sell clothing for teens and young adults. Customers bring in items to sell throughout the day, and once we purchase them, our team works behind the scenes to prepare, merchandise, and sell them.

As Store Manager, you'll lead the team and oversee the store's daily operations while creating a fun, welcoming experience for our customers. This is an active, hands-on position not a desk job. You'll spend your days on your feet, working alongside your team and engaging with customers.

  • Recruit and build a team of passionate people who love our products and delivering great customer service
  • Partner with the district manager to achieve store performance goals and share in the profits when you succeed
  • Create a positive team culture centered around our 7 Core Values
  • Welcome change, take thoughtful risks, and test new ideas that help the team and store continue to grow
Requirements
  • Previous management experience; retail experience is preferred but not required
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Confident working with numbers and willing to learn concepts such as margin goals and cost of goods
  • Ability to retain and apply new information
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
