INTRODUCTION TO ROLE:
The Retail clerk is responsible for obtaining or receiving tickets and merchandise, totaling bills, accepting payments, and making change for customers in the retail store
Benefit eligibility:
    • Seasonal roles are not eligible for health benefits.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON:

  • Ensure each guest receives outstanding service by providing a guest-friendly environment that includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining high standards, solid product knowledge, and all other components of guest service.
  • Effectively operate the POS system to correctly assign payments for tickets and merchandise, including accepting payments and providing accurate change.
  • Stock shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise.
  • Set up advertising displays or arrange merchandise on counters or tables to promote sales.
  • Obtain merchandise requested by the customer or receive merchandise selected by the customer.
  • Answer customer questions concerning location, price, and use of the merchandise.
  • The total price and tax on the customer's merchandise are determined to calculate the bill.
  • Accept payment and make a change.
  • Wrap or bag merchandise for customers.
  • Remove and record the amount of cash in the register at the end of the shift.
  • Calculate sales discount to determine the price.
  • Keep a sales record, prepare an inventory, and order merchandise.
  • Keep the showroom clean and orderly
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Provides regular and reliable attendance

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH:
The Retail Clerk reports to the Store Manager, or Assistant General Manager, and collaborates with the team. The Retail Clerk works closely with the guest!
WHAT YOU BRING:
  • High school diploma or actively enrolled to achieve a degree
  • Previous retail experience
