Retail Associate – Marin French Cheese
Join California’s Original Cheese Company!

Do you love great food, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences? Marin French Cheese is looking for a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Retail Associate to join our team!

As a Retail Associate, you’ll be the face of our cheese shop — welcoming guests, sharing knowledge about our artisan cheeses, and helping create a warm and inviting experience for every visitor. If you enjoy working with people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and appreciate quality food and service, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do
  • Greet guests and provide exceptional customer service
  • Educate customers about Marin French Cheese and Laura Chenel artisan cheeses
  • Offer daily cheese tastings and assist guests with product selections
  • Stock shelves, refrigerators, and maintain attractive cheese displays
  • Help prepare café sandwiches, salads, and grab-and-go items as needed
  • Operate the point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming work environment
  • Follow daily checklists and support overall shop operations
  • Work collaboratively with the Bistro and Retail teams
What We’re Looking For
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Positive attitude with a strong team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional and engaging interaction with guests and coworkers
  • Ability to manage light inventory counts
  • ServSafe Certification required within 30 days of hire

  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements

This position requires standing for extended periods, frequent walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs. Exposure to both warm and cold environments is expected.
