SCOPE/CONTACTS:

Responsible for the fulfillment of all Bank policies and regulations as they apply to the Retail Operations Division, specifically Tellers, Safe Deposit and New Accounts. Responsible for the overall training of lobby and/or motor-bank personnel to assure friendly, eager, professional, and capable customer service. Responsible for positively motivating and ensuring that the sales culture of the bank will be enhanced by all retail personnel. Daily contact with customers, potential customers, officers, and employees.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • General supervision of all Office Retail Operations, i.e., New Accounts, Certificates of Deposit, Tellers, Collections, Safe Deposit, Bookkeeping inquiries, and Customer Service.
  • Incumbent is expected to hire, track, and coach, counsel, and support retail staff in all phases of sales, customer service and work detail.
  • Incumbent may be assigned to the officer call program.
  • Actively participate in the sales and service culture, support the values of the organization, and follow established Bank policies and procedures.
  • Periodic travel to Abilene or other Bank Regions for training is required.
  • Saturday hours and holiday hours may be a requirement based on your branch location's hours of operation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Six years of retail banking experience, two of which must be in management, either in banking or another retail environment is required.
  • A four-year college degree in business/finance is a competitive advantage.
  • Basic math proficiency and aptitude.
  • Demonstrated academic record of achievement in social and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrate aptitude to handle sensitive operational transaction and customer relationships.
  • Professional appearance & demeanor.
  • Demonstrate strong social skills.
  • Excellent communication skills & a self-starter mentality.
  • Ability to adjust to flexible hours and ability to sell products and services.
  • Will supervise staff of at least five employees and daily operations.
  • Thorough knowledge of negotiable instruments is strongly desired.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and/or extended hours as business requires.
  • Periodic travel to Abilene or other Bank Regions for training is required.
  • Saturday hours and holiday hours may be a requirement based on your branch location's hours of operation.
