Job description

Construction Assistant Project Manager
Location: Arlington, VA (On-site)
Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 + benefits and bonus eligibility
Contract Type: Fulltime - 1099 Independent Contractor
About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Assistant Project Manager to support multiple high-profile and complex projects. This role requires in-depth industry expertise with a focus on renovation, build-out, restoration, and construction across commercial and residential projects.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with architects, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and inspectors to resolve issues related to plans and specifications across multiple concurrent commercial and residential projects
  • Review architectural, civil, structural, and MEP drawings, specifications, and contract documents for constructability, coordination, and compliance with design intent and code requirements
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings end-to-end - including logging, tracking, distributing for review, assessing conformance to contract specifications, and resolving conflicts in interpretation
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in commercial and residential construction projects exceeding $3M in value
  • In-depth knowledge of renovation, build-out, restoration, and/or new construction
  • Strong understanding of architectural, civil, structural, and MEP documents
  • Proven ability to manage RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills
  • Experience with public projects is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 (1099 Contract)
