The Restore Assistant Manager assists with all aspects of running the Restore. The ideal candidate is a dependable, compassionate, problem solver, with great communication skills and previous retail experience.

Position Summary: The Assistant Manager supports the mission of Habitat Lenawee by providing leadership to Restore staff and volunteers to achieve efficiency in receiving donated materials, performing merchandise processing and pricing, inventory control, and merchandise allocation. The Assistant Manager works to serve the public, resolve conflict, and supports efficient processes. Additionally, the Assistant Manager assumes the manager role in the absence of the Restore Director.


Compensation: $19.00-$22.00 Full-time (32-40 hours/wk), Hourly, Nonexempt

Company-paid training, work/life balance with paid time off and generous paid holiday schedule.


Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: Previous experience in customer service roles; Prior sales, merchandising, pricing, and inventory experience with knowledge of building materials, home improvement, and construction/deconstruction means methods techniques and materials is preferred. Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.

Other Requirements: Cash handling experience; Effective interpersonal communication skills and demonstrates active listening skills, patience, the ability to interact and collaborate with a diverse group of people with a wide array of personalities, knowledge, and skill levels; Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of personality styles; Compassionately and ethically serves a diverse population; Basic computer skills, ability to navigate the internet, utilize software programs, and adaptability to use other technology related applications Must have valid driver license and reliable transportation to travel to locations throughout the county.
