Job description

Restoration Technician

 

Company: A thirty-year-old privately owned commercial construction firm that specializes in commercial cabinets, equipment rentals, maintenance, remodeling, restoration, and roofing. 

Office Location: Miami, Florida

Project Locations: Miami, FL & Fort Lauderdale, FL

Status: Full-time employee

Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in water extraction, drying, mold remediation, and general construction

Education Level: High School Diploma Required

Compensation: Hourly compensation commensurate with knowledge, experience, and job duties (Range: $25-$35/hour)

Responsibilities:  The company is searching for a Restoration Technician with the experience and ability to restore commercial properties damaged by fires, floods, natural disasters, and other emergencies.  

  • Respond to emergency service calls promptly and assess the situation for immediate action.
  • Read and understand the work assignment of the requirements to satisfy the client.
  • Transport safely and set up drying equipment necessary for emergency service tasks.
  • Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition and report any issues promptly.
  • Communicate with clients, provide updates and explanations throughout the emergency service process.
  • Comply with safety protocols and company policies.
  • Perform mitigation services for water damage, fire damage, and other disasters in accordance with IICRC standards.
  • Document work completed, including before and after photos, and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain daily log sheet of temperature and humidity readings relating to the work performed.
  • Ability to manage a small crew of workers.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills Required:  

 ·       Experience in water mitigation, fire damage, and mold remediation

·       Certifications as WRT, FRT, ORT, and/or AMRT and an ICRA cert. a plus

·       Experience with drywall demo, repair, and painting

·       Experience in general carpentry repairs

·       Read and under project sketching

·       Take measurements and calculate the size and quantities of materials needed

·       Read and understand moisture mapping

·       Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
